Private James Warner

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present, other than that he was born around 1886.

James Warner joined the North Irish Horse (either enlisted, called-up or transferred from another regiment) between 3 and 30 July 1917 (regimental number between 2620 and 2622 – later Corps of Hussars No.71915). (One source gives his enlistment date as 20 April 1918, but this does not match the regimental number sequence.)

He trained at the regiment's Antrim reserve camp until 11 January 1919, when he was discharged, being 'surplus to military requirements, not having suffered impairment since entry into the service' (paragraph 392 (xxv)(a), King's Regulations).
